ETON PRS Series 165.3 6.5-inch 3-way Component Speaker Kit
The partially active 3-way top system in its class! A reinforced glass fiber paper membrane provides a dynamic, massive basic sound reproduction with a warm sound image! Powerful, open sounding and detailed midrange are just some of the attributes of the new PRS 165.3 3-way system. The reinforced, powder-coated metal basket ensures optimum stability and provides good ventilation for the powerful ferrite drive system. The ventilated coil carrier in conjunction with the large core bore also provides the necessary cooling, which has a positive effect on efficiency. A low pass filter in the signal source/amplifier source is required to connect the woofer.
The 19 mm fabric tweeters play silky, soft and unobtrusive. They reproduce finely, rich in detail and deliver a very clear image of the tweeter. Their very good omnidirectional beam characteristics provide that certain extra in the tweeter nuances. They can be mounted in a recessed or surface-mounted cabinet and thus their dispersion characteristics can be optimally adjusted.
The PRS 165.2 and PRS 165.3 are delivered with a high-quality crossover, which is equipped with elaborately designed air coils and premium foil capacitors. Here, too, two-stage midrange filtering with a level adjustment of 6 dB / 12 dB is possible.
The 80 mm midrange drivers score with their hand-coated paper diaphragm and the stiffened metal basket, which has high stability. The whole system is driven by a strong ferrite magnet with optimized magnetic field symmetry. The well-ventilated metal basket and the ventilated coil carrier with the large core bore ensure sufficient cooling even at high levels. This ensures detailed mid-range and high efficiency, including a cover grid.
